About Us

Leal Family: São José dos Campos, SP, Brazil; We are Mike and Nélia Leal, along with our children Louissa (19) and Joshua (16). We serve at the OM Brazil training base located 1½ hours from the city of São Paulo. We arrived in Brazil in September 2010, and plan to continue until at least 2017. OM Brazil’s main vision and primary activity is to mobilise the Brazilian church for missions, equipping, training and sending Brazilian believers to make disciples where Jesus is not known. Mike looks after all things technical at the base, with additional responsibility for Information Technology in OM over the Latin America area. Mike is also part of the leadership team, helping the Field Leader with strategy and planning. Nélia is the director of English studies, and part of the CTM (Missionary Training Centre) team, helping with many aspects of departmental planning and daily student care. Our time here has been challenging, but God has been amazingly good to us and has taught us to depend on Him more.
